Meant to Be

Jeans: F21 (old, but similar here)
Scarf: Anthropologie (old, but similar here)
Shoes: Leifsdottir via Anthropologie (no longer available, but love these)
Bracelets: F21, Urban Outfitters (old) and Nordstrom (old, but similar here)

These shoes and I were totally meant to be... I had seen them on Anthropologie website and fell head over heels; they immediately landed a spot on my wish list but I didn't act on my lust right away, I wanted to try them on before making the commitment. I checked a few stores with little luck, life got in the way and I ended up temporary forgetting about them; weeks went by, weeks turned into months and one lucky day as I scouted Anthro's page I saw that they had been market down from $260 to $59! Of course I was not going to let this opportunity pass me by... the euphoria quickly turned into disappointment; they didn't have my size! By some leap of faith I was able to discover the last pair in the entire company at a store in Colorado, and yes they were a 37 but the best part is they were once again marked down to only $25!!! Who can argue they were meant to be mine?

Bright Blossom

Top: Old Navy (old, but similar here)
Skirt: F21 (old, but love this onethis one and this one)
Shoes: Steve Madden (old, but similar here)
Clutch: F21 (old, but similar here)
Necklace: Local Artist (similar here)
Bangles: F21 and Nordstrom (old, but similar here and here)

This skirt hadn't seen the light of day in so long... So this morning I decided to take it for a stroll. Fire engine red is one of my absolute favorite colors; in particular when it comes to jewelry mixing and matching! There's just a je ne sais quoi about red and turquoise; in collaboration they deserve a category of their own. You definitely do not have to break the bank to try this this fancy duo, turquoise tends to be associated with summer (this is not a rule in my book) so many stores already marked down their "summer jewelry inventory" I suggest starting your search at American Eagle and Urban Outfitters.

While spending some quality time with the family; I decided to take some quick shots. A "simple" jeans and white top ensemble becomes a hit with the right accessories, you don't have to compromise looks for comfort.

So Cal has been so hot these past few weeks that whether or not you enjoy working on your tan, the sun has simply been too much!  This has been the perfect opportunity to sport one of my all time favorite accessories; a big floppy hat. I know it can be a bit intimidating to choose the right oversized hat but you won't know what works for you until you try it; so have fun playing around with colors and sizes be sure to try a few different options until you find THE ONE.  Floppy hats instantly and effortlessly add a classy flair to any outfit.
